He signed and oversaw the development of 2021 Rock Hall of Fame Inductee Todd Rundgren\, the multi-platinum group Foghat\, and others who achieved significant credibility and success. \nFrom Bearsville\, Fishkin founded Modern Records with Danny Goldberg\, former manager of Nirvana\, Bonnie Raitt\, etc.\, ex-head of Warner Bros and Atlantic Records. Modern Records was distributed by Atlantic Records. Major artists included 2019 Rock Hall of Fame Inductee as a solo artist\, Stevie Nicks\, Platinum selling legend Natalie Cole\, and Gold artist\, Poe. He co-managed with Mark Puma\, Twisted Sister and Kix. Under his aegis\, both went from 100\,000 units to multi-platinum. Fishkin also co-managed Rosie O’Donnell in her early career\, helping to get her first television acting role\, and was a partner with Jimmy Iovine\, (Founder of Interscope\, and recent head of Apple Music)\, in a project as part of a production deal through A & M Records.
