Film, Video, & VR

Technology for what See

The evolution of the film industry illustrates the fast pace, immense impact of technology on an industry. When motion picture cameras were invented in the 1890s, film production companies formed and film was first introduced to the mainstream. There was no sound, the productions were under a minute long, the process was expensive. By 1929 most Hollywood films had sound, by 1970 the main stream now had their own video cameras to make movies, by 2000 cell phones could capture pictures, by 2010 smartphones began creeping into every household.

Fast forward to today where most people can now record high quality films from their handheld phones and many companies are making amazing advances in virtual reality immersion in various industries.
