New Haven, Connecticut, 1. Participates in setting constituent segmentation strategies and tactics. Creates, streamlines or enhances targeting of constituencies. Performs quality control measures to ensure data integrity. Identifies cost saving options. 2. Designs, codes, tests, implements and documents complex data queries and reports. Accurately documents projects and processes. 3. Provides data for mail/email production and phone solicitations. 4. Plans work, prepares specifications, designs forms and files and output formats. Identifies data requirements. Selects and formats data from the University alumni database. 5. Schedules workflow. Monitors work in progress and makes schedule changes as necessary. Assists in staff training and new employee on-boarding with regard to data systems and processes. 6. Manages and prioritizes staff and systems for mail production and reporting. 7. Identifies target prospect pools as determined by fundraising strategy and initiatives. 8. Maintains inventory management. Maintains continuous direct communication with service providers. 9. Ensures ongoing identification and resolution of data quality management issues. 10. Maintains project budgets. Analyzes response and ROI for each appeal throughout the fiscal year. 11. May perform other duties as assigned. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail. Excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills. Required Skill/ability 2: Advanced proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, database software and reporting, and the ability to conduct data analysis. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and email marketing software. Experience using graphic design tools such as InDesign. Required Skill/ability 3: Desire and ability to work independently and as a strong member of a team. Able to interact professionally and with diplomacy with staff at various levels across the University. Ability to function effectively and lead projects in a deadline-oriented setting. Required Skill/ability 4: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and experience with complex proofreading. Willingness to work at multiple University and off-site locations, as needed. Required Skill/ability 5: Professionalism, maturity, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Commitment to an inclusive workplace. Ability to engage with diverse audiences (age, gender, nationality, race/ethnicity, profession, sexual orientation, etc.). Preferred Education: Higher education or non-profit experience. Familiarity with fundraising practices and procedures. Familiarity with project management, marketing strategies, and analytics best practices and current trends.
