Michael Sitarzewski is co-founder and CEO of Epic Playground, Inc. He is a veteran entrepreneur with a specific focus on Web-based software and services. Michael considers helping people understand and leverage technology his life’s work.
In addition to creating companies and running Epic Playground, Michael is heavily involved in the Dallas, Texas startup community, building on the lessons from the Boulder and Denver community – where he spent seven years.
He’s the Entrepreneur In Residence for The Dallas Entrepreneur Center, a mentor for RevTech, Seed Sumo, and for several other individual startups. He runs #BigDOCC every Tuesday morning, returned BarCamp to Dallas, co-founded Dallas New Tech (#BigDNT), and brought House of Genius to Dallas. He is also responsible for the Player’s Lunch, an invite-only monthly luncheon for leaders of the Dallas Startup Community. He’s organized well over 100 community events in the last year, and spearheaded the inaugural Dallas Startup Week.
Today as CEO and Founder of MediaTech Ventures, O'Brien works in Venture Capital Economic Development, serving the investment and venture capital economies directly, through thought leadership, consulting, and startup development.More, a regional Director of the Founder Institute incubator and mentor in DivInc, Galvanize, DivInc, and various startup Accelerators.
