Pete Monfre is a twenty eight year veteran of the advertising and marketing industry. Monfre is a sought after speaker, a recognized expert in marketing strategy and has been quoted in Inc. Magazine, Time Magazine, Forbes, and other major publications. He has written for Scientific American and regularly contributes to news outlets and publications. He has been recognized by the President of the United States with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Presidential Service for his work in Science Education.
Monfre is active as an advocate for live music in Austin and founder of The Austin Blues Revue and was Producer of Exploration Nation which traveled the country doing authentic scientific research performed by real elementary and middle school kids. Now Texan, O'Brien works in Venture Capital Economic Development, serving the investment and venture capital economies directly, through thought leadership, consulting, and startup development.He's the founder of MediaTech Ventures, a founder and managing director of the Texas Technology Council, and partner in 1839 Ventures.
