    Forum Description

When you look at media today, how much of the content you’re seeing is created by artificial intelligence?

It’s not surprising. Statista forecasts that the worldwide artificial intelligence software industry will grow from 9.5 billion US dollars to 118.6 billion in 2025. The growing revenue demonstrates AI's quick rise and appeal.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the study and development of computer systems capable of doing activities ordinarily performed by humans.

One of the more fascinating topics is figuring out how AI is utilized in journalism. AI has a significant influence on accumulating large amounts of data from discussions throughout the world wide web and categorizing them into themes to perceive global trends or even predict rising threats of terrorism or even health problems, such as a pandemic.

Artificial intelligence can fundamentally alter the media and entertainment industries, affecting everything from content development to customer experience.

Even media professionals recognize that artificial intelligence can boost productivity by automating routine work. Automation powered by artificial intelligence can help content makers and entertainers spend more time creating compelling material.

“AI will influence all parts of the media value chain, helping content creators to be more creative, helping content editors to be more productive, and helping content consumers to find the content that matches their interests and current situation,” stated Rainer Kellerhals, Microsoft’s Media and Entertainment industry lead for the EMEA region.

Artificial intelligence began in 1956. Then IBM's Deep Blue was the first computer to defeat a Russian Grandmaster. In a proposal submitted by Cognitive scientist Marvin Minsky, he invented the phrase "artificial intelligence." This conference established artificial intelligence as a field.

Where is AI Being Used Today?

To be honest, AI is everywhere now. From media to manufacturing production, security and surveillance, and even sports!

Artificial intelligence is frequently used to present individuals with tailored suggestions based on their previous searches, purchases, and other online behavior. AI is critical in commerce for various reasons, including optimizing items, managing inventories, and logistics.

Aside from that, we can see AI every day in self-driving cars that can park themselves. It uses deep learning, a subgroup of AI, to recognize the space around a vehicle.

Another use is in content. There are numerous platforms out there that help people write faster just by inputting a summary of what they want to see.

Our digital assistants on our phones are a great addition to where we use AI. You are likely familiar with Apple’s Siri; it helps phone users to check their schedules, give them directions, and even send commands to other apps.

Media can use AI to aid in the creation of commercials and film trailers. Additionally, the media and entertainment industries will employ AI for marketing purposes such as film promotion, design, and advertising.

"These past few weeks have me very excited about the future of technology for decades to come.  It brings back memories of 1993 when I discovered Mosaic and HTML and my mind was racing with all the potential one could do with the Internet."

    3. Prompt chaining to transform the idol to attend a specific special event.

    4. Combine two images.  One with the idol and the other with a popular K-pop star to transform her into a virtual K-pop idol.

    - Rob Campanell; Data Scientist in AI

MediaTech's Paul O'Brien has fancied himself somewhat of an artist lately thanks to the Wombo app Dream, generating works of art such as this from only word prompts and a style.

What are the Benefits of AI?

Numerous sectors have benefited from advancements in the field of artificial intelligence. Processes are more efficient, projections are more precise, and more handy technologies are accessible than ever.

But let’s further explore some of its advantages.

    Increased Efficiency

One of the most significant benefits of AI is that it enables people to be more efficient. AI may accelerate the completion of minor, repetitive jobs or finish much bigger, more complicated ones. Whatever application, AI systems are not constrained by human limits and will never tire.

    24/7 Availability

AI can run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without interruption or downtime. It will keep running as long as someone feeding it commands. For other people who use AI in their content, even writer’s block could go away with a click of a button.

    Deeper Analysis

While organizations nowadays are awash with data, are organizations making the most of it? Artificial intelligence systems can find pertinent information, discover patterns, make conclusions, and suggest suggestions. Human data analysis is time-consuming, and AI systems can process and analyze enormous volumes of data at breakneck speed.

But the critical thing to note is that it still needs human interaction. It isn’t a stand-alone system that can work on its own.

    To wrap it up:

We always have to remember that everything is ever-evolving, specifically AI. These are only a few of its benefits in the media and other industries. Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing media and undoubtedly contributes to the efficiency of procedures in the entertainment industry.
