The MediaTech courses are specially crafted to fuel passion among aspiring filmmakers, digital artists, game developers, and budding entrepreneurs. These courses offer a captivating mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring students are well-equipped for the industry. Key courses include:

Popular Courses with Industry Relevance and Expertise

Popular courses in the program are known for their industry relevance and incorporation of the latest knowledge in their respective fields. The Visual Marketing for Creatives course, a highlight of the curriculum, spans 6 weeks with 12 live online classes. It features Elle Halley, a renowned Creative Director and Curator, as the lead instructor. The course also includes special guest speakers such as Malcolm Garrett MBE, Sam Perry-Falvey, and Sister Bliss from Faithless, offering students invaluable industry insights and skills in visual marketing.

Dave Garnish, Garnish Music Production partnered with us to support our work in music, “Garnish live online classes provide a platform for instant interaction, with our superior roster of current industry-active instructors. You can ask questions, seek clarification, and engage in discussions in real-time, fostering a more vibrant learning environment, than watching pre-recorded videos. In our live setting, there’s structured learning, promoting accountability and discipline. Knowing that your instructor and peers are actively participating alongside you can be a powerful motivator, keeping you engaged and committed to your educational goals. The interactive, dynamic, and community-oriented nature of live classes transforms education into a collaborative journey, providing you with the tools and support needed for success. This sense of community often leads to valuable long-term connections and collaborations.”

Elle Halley’s diverse expertise extends across various creative industries, including work with Tileyard Education, Creative UK, Arts Council England, and more. Her focus on image branding, marketing, and the intersection of creative arts with mental health brings a unique perspective to the course. As a Fellow of the Royal Society Of Arts, her commitment to equality and diversity in the creative sector is unparalleled.

Harry Leckstein’s work throughout the UK, and the collaboration with Garnish Music Production, and instructors such as Elle Halley, reflects MediaTech Ventures’ growth throughout the world and demand to close the gaps between Europe and our origin in the United States.  Much of the catalyst for the vision in MediaTech Ventures draws from witness of MusicTech throughout the world, and how resistance to changing the business models of music stifle the artists while hindering adoption of understanding other forms of media critical in music: advertising, video, social media, and even video games.  What we can draw from the strengths and weaknesses of major music hubs of the United States such as Los Angeles, Austin, and Nashville, we’re applying lessons learned to accelerate the other sectors of media while at the same time drawing from those to accelerate music innovation.

JB Thiebaut, CEO of Music Hackspace, a community of innovating artists, entrepreneurs and hobbyists learning new technologies for music and creative technologies, reflects our own passion and vision best, as he too joins the collaborative and new direction in education, adding: “Artists who learn new creative technologies often require feedback and shared experiences with peers to progress. Music Hackspace has specialised in delivering live classes online for 4 years, delivered by practitioners who are experts in fields including music production, sound design, live visuals and creative coding. We’re excited to work with Mediatech’s education program to bring our expertise to their portfolio and design courses for the in-demand skills of the creative industries.”
