International Songwriting Camp with Karma Studios and CREAT-ED
A unique opportunity, through our work with CREAT-ED for 15 artists, songwriters and composers to write to live commercial song briefs with professional producers over 4 days at Karma Studios Thailand, February 25-28, 2025.
Each day you will start with a vocal and breathing warm up before being curated into your daily working group, where your team will have the option to work on one of several live commercial song briefs or choose to write together on any subject.
Karma Studios is Asia’s premier luxury Residential Recording Studio complex that is the home to some of the world’s top songwriters and producers. Karma has its own Record Labels (Karma Sounds, Karma X and Beauty for Ashes) and an in-house Publishing Company with Warner Chappell (Karma Cuts).
The trip also includes either a 10% donation to the Wisdom Age Initiative, or a three-day meditation retreat with the Wisdom Age Initiative in the beautiful mountain surroundings of Pa Pae, Chiang Mai, Feb 21-24, to ground the mind, body and soul prior to the songwriting camp.
You will finish the camp with 4 co-writes on original tracks and have written with the majority of the other songwriters and producers as you are curated into a new group with a new producer and brief each day. Each evening we will gather round for a group playback to share the day’s work before relaxing and socialising.
All completed songs to live commercial brief will be reviewed by the CREAT-ED Commercial Partners for practical advice and partners may send on any tracks to clients at their discretion. Writers retain 100% of their royalty shares on original songs created.
There are only 15 places available on the writing camp and you are kindly requested to submit links to two original songs you have written, arranged or produced as part of the application form. The links provided can be to any private or public hosted page featuring the song.
