Meet the panelists:

  • Ted Cohen

    Known in entertainment & tech as “part connector/part evangelist,” Ted Cohen is Head of Corporate Development for MediaTech Ventures and the Managing Partner of TAG Strategic, a digital entertainment consultancy. As SVP of EMI Music, Ted led global digital Biz Dev & was central in crafting the licensing agreements for the iTunes Store & Rhapsody/ Napster. Before EMI, He ran Consulting Adults, whose clients included Universal, Amazon, Microsoft, Coca-Cola & Napster. A 40-year digital media vet, Ted received the 2013 NARM Presidential Award, previously given to Ahmet Ertegun & Dick Clark, among others. He continually seeks out the next innovative technology & his next challenge; he really loves his life.

  • Jeanna Liu

    Jeanna is a Managing Director at CDX Advisors, a disruptive tech-enabled investment bank focused on capital raising and M&A for high-growth companies. Over the past 15 years, she’s executed over $15 billion of transactions throughout the Americas, UK/Europe and Asia advising VCs, private equity firms and media/tech companies like Rakuten, NTT, SK Telecom, Best Buy, The New York Times and Variety Media. Prior to finance, she worked in technical and social impact roles at the Mayo Clinic, MIT Media Lab and MIT Public Service Center, and holds a degree in economics from MIT. She angel invests in tech and media startups with diverse leadership teams, and occasionally moonlights as a web developer and musician.

  • Jenna Seiden

    Jenna Seiden is a Co-Founder of Zambezi Partners, an entertainment, emerging tech and social impact consultancy.  She independently serves on the board of and advises companies in the XR, video game, esports, telecom, digital OTT and film/TV ecosystems. Recently her main focus has been on location-based entertainment for AR/VR studios working with clients such as Arvore, Baobab, Beat Games, Exit Reality, Felix & Paul, Springboard VR, and VRsenal. She was most recently the Head of Content Acquisition & Partnerships for HTC Viveport, managing the home, mobile & LBE storefronts. Prior to HTC, Jenna was the VP of Distribution at Maker Studios, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Xbox, and was a video games agent at Creative Artists Agency. She began her career in sports marketing at the NBA managing sponsorships for both the NBA and WNBA after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

  • Brian Penick
    Brian Penick is a disruptive entrepreneur and venture capitalist. After a 12-year career as a professional musician, Brian launched several startups in the music, tech, and education sectors, including Soundstr (acquired 2x). Brian now works in venture capital as the Chief Marketing Officer for LOUD Capital and the Managing Partner for Legacy Entertainment Ventures, a venture-focused service suite for musicians, eSports, and influencers.
